I got this sandbox for my 6 year old and 4 year old. And honestly for the space we had to allow for it it is the perfect size. The 2 of them can easily play at it together which I was worried about.
It went together pretty quickly and easily taking a total of about an hour to build. My real concern is with the wood quality. A lot of the wood pieces I received were way too soft for the screws I was given. I hand screwed every screw to avoid over tightening and it still didn't help. The screws were tearing right through the wood.
I do love the idea of the awning coming down and doubling as a tarp but the actual execution of it didn't work out too well. Even with my man and I sliding it perfectly in sync it never wants to move up or down properly. And the handle in the middle is almost impossible to use for it. If you can get it to move right though it is a nice feature.
Ultimately I got this sandbox as a sandbox for my kids and it does work as a sandbox. They do love it and it does keep the sand inside nicely. I do wish the quality of the wood was a little better but it's ok for now.
My kids love this they can send hours playing in it. It was very easy to assemble I did it by myself without asking help from my husband. The colors are definitely attractive and the sandbox is big enough for 2 kids to play in it. I love that it is made of wood which is a great material
My son and nephews LOVE this sandbox! They sit nicely and play quietly. It’s got enough of an edge that they can sit on it. The cover is perfect to keep the sun off of them. Each day that’s been warm enough they’ve been in the sandbox!
The Teamson Kids - Outdoor Summer Sand Box - Wood / Blue was easy enough for one person to put together. The instructions were clear enough that I didn't need to google anything and I was done in probably an hour, maybe a little longer. I absolutely love that the canopy can be lowered as almost like a lid for the sandbox thy feature was a little unexpected.
Very nice four by four foot sand box. It was easy to put together, it take about an hour to put together between two people. The would does crack easy so you have to be careful when you are screwing the wood that holds the roof on. Very cute would recommend.
